In episode 23 of Barbarossa, Pablo's pirates begin attacking Khizir to get the navy back. While Khizir was defending his ship, another ship attacked the pirates from a distance. Pablo said he had to return because of the attack. The captain of this ship is Sahsenem and after the attack he went to Khizir ship. Gabriel wakes Aruz and tells him that he has taken her to Moden. Aruj asks him why he is doing this. Gabriel says Oruj's father attacked Lesbos many years ago and that is why his own father died. Khizir thanks Sahsenem and goes to Kalemej with him. Aruz said he would not surrender the navy even if he died. Pasha learns that Aruj did not go to court and is very angry about this.
Pasha thinks Aruj has escaped and instructs him to find her as soon as possible. Khizir goes to Kalemz to treat his wounds and learns that Oruj has disappeared. Khizir then talks to Pasha and informs him that Gabriel has abducted Aruj. Pasha said Gabriel did nothing of the sort and wanted Khizir to prove his claim. Perry says the Ottoman Empire should intervene in this position, but he cannot persuade Pasha.
Gabriel sends Aruz to a fierce battle on the island to torture him. Aruj kills the soldiers here and saves his life. Pablo tells Gabriel that he can't find the fleet. Aruj cares for Antuan's wounds in the dungeon. Antoine says he no longer believes in God because the woman he loves was sentenced to death a few years ago. Aruj tells Antuan that everything will be fine.
Khizir plans to approach Madan and tells Elias to handle the calamity. Meanwhile, Gabriel comes to Calamez and tells everyone that he has captured Oruj. Gabriel claims the navy and Levita in exchange for Oruj. Khizir says he will never surrender to the navy and Levita. Mary says someone helped Gabriel. Esma says Aruze's last decisions were wrong and argued with Isabel. Gabriel says he will never surrender to Aruz and will use him against the Turks.
Pasha said they would have to surrender their fleet immediately to get Oruj back. Perry says the Ottoman Empire should do something, but Pasha continues to argue with him. Khizir said he would never surrender the navy and said he would protect Oruj. Elias, Isabel, Huma, and Maryam want the fleet to be given to Gabriel, but Khizir yells at everyone.

Pasha gets very angry because of the fire in the barn and starts blaming Elias. Sahin says he will investigate the incident, but he cannot calm Pasha down. Pasha tells them that he will hire a new guard for the calligraphy. Miriam again blames Sahsenem. Elias tries to calm Pasha down and says that Oruj is the guardian of the island. Pasha says the island needs a new guard to solve the problem and Elias deserves the job.
Gabriel takes Oruz and Antoine to a dungeon on the island. Khizir realizes that he is approaching Moden and orders the hoisting of the Venetian flag on the ship. Khizir requested to have all the explosives on board ready. The ships protecting Modon spotted the Khizr ships but did not fire there because of the Venetian flag. Thus, Khizir used his explosive-laden ship to blow up five ships protecting Modon.
